Thematic Photographic 19 - Grounded

The Thematic Photographic for this week is grounded. That is really low, Carmi! Interpretations of this theme are already very interesting. For today's contribution I decided to look at the world around our house from a very different perspective. We have a steeply sloping back yard, bounded by a wooded ravine. Within that ravine are critters, not often seen, but often heard. So the photos I took this morning required hiking into the woods and looking up from a raccoon's-eye level. I came out covered in twigs and seeds and even cob webs, but I think this little adventure was worth it.

Sitting at the edge of the woods, yet still well-concealed in the shade of the tall trees, the little raccoon is curious about what lies beyond.
A few steps further and he sees a very different world; very bright!
A wild lavender daisy plant looks like a giant from a raccoon's-eye view!
And the wild baby's breath looks like an impenetrable bush.
He has made it to the top of the hill. He smells food! But he can't get through the fence.
But if he ever does get through the fence he will be met by the Shih Tzu Patrol!

So ahead! Join the fun, get grounded --- whatever that might mean for you. And be sure to browse through the comments here to link up with other TPers.

What a fun series! I enjoyed it WAY much! I'm sad to say we hit a coon tonight. :( But I love your Tzus! I have two Lhasas myself. :)

Very clever use of the theme Grounded. I would never have thought of that.
Your pups are priceless guard dogs.

Oh! These puppies are the BEST!!! So cute and amazing that you got them all in one photo so well!!! Love your take on the theme, too! I am "behind" in my blog-life again... maybe I will get to this theme this weekend!

Enjoy yours, Barb!

I love how you turned it into a series and a journey. The dog patrol is too much...I love this breed. They're such sweethearts! I'd be happy to run into them anytime!

Yeah, I'm low :)
