Macro -Thematic Photograhic: Broken

This is such a busy week, as was last week, so I am covering two themes with one post. I wish I could somehow do more than two things at once here at home!

So, the macro theme is anything close-up, with or without a macro lens. This week's Thematic Photographic is looking at "broken". Hmmm... macro broken, or broken macro? What can I do with that combo?

I've got it! Who can resist picking up shells along the beach? Broken or not, I gathered all kinds from the sands at Chesapeake Bay in Virginia. Some are really tiny, others are the size of a child's foot. A few are whole but most are broken. Some are very delicate while others are surprisingly thick. All are beautiful in their own way.

There are two places you can join in the fun:
Macro Monday, hosted by Lisa at Lisa's Chaos, takes a close up look at life. Post your close-ups then link up here. While you are there, be sure to take a close look at all the terrific from bloggers all over the world.
Thematic Photographic, hosted by Carmi at Written, Inc. takes a look at life one topic at a time. Join in this fun and post your links here. See all the different interpretations of 'broken', too.

I really like these. I especially like the macro of the tiny little shells in contrast to the photo above which gives us an idea of how small they are. Great collection for broken - the ocean certainly is rough on the shells before it tosses them up on the beach.
