Macro Monday

The most beautiful designs are found in nature. Sometimes nature is found on unusual surfaces. We've seen vines growing freely on buildings and fences; moss covering abandoned foundations; trees growing from cracks on barren cliffsides.

The photos below show the beautiful designs of nature formed on ... well, look at the photos first and see if you can guess what it is and on what it has formed.

What's your guess? If you guessed chalk on slate........... not it. Actually it is ice that formed on the surface of my black truck! Beautiful, isn't it! These were taken last year, but the dusting of snow we had this weekend made me think about these photos and bring them out for an encore presentation.
Come play Macro Monday with us over at Lisa's Chaos.

I was wondering if it was frost... and I also wondered if it was in b&w. I guess it's full-colour, but the subject just happened to be b&w. Very cool!

I guessed rock and I thought one photo looked like grass! I know I guessed wrong but I haven't seen ice or snow.

Lovely photos!
