Thematic Photographic 20 - Blur: The Ride of Paul Revere!

Here we are at the beginning of week 20 of Thematic Photographic, without a doubt the most fun photographic meme in the blogosphere! Thank you, Carmi at Written, Inc. for starting this way back when. The theme this week is blur, which is what I often end up with when trying to be creative, or not using a tripod in delicate settings, or when I just move the camera at the wrong time.

The character in the tricorn hat above is none other than Paul Revere, of Paul Revere and the Raiders.... you know, back in the 70s, Hungry.... Kicks.... Steppin' Out.... Louie Louie? You don't remember? Ok, go ask your parents... or grandparents. Anyway, Paul Revere lives here in Branson and teams up with another Bransonite Bill Medley of the Righteous Brothers for one of the best shows in Branson. The zaneeeness of Paul Revere and the mellowness of Bill Medley is like a roller coaster ride in a Rolls Royce!

Ok, so what does all this have to do with the photos above? Obviously the photos have some blur to them. I took this photo last year (pre-Canon 40D) during Bill's part of their Christmas show. As is his custom, Paul careens across the stage on one of his motorized toys... this one being an ice chest on wheels pulling wagons full of toys and Twinkies. (During the summer months he scoots across on a mini scooter.) The burst on the Canon Rebel wasn't fast enough for quick, clear shots, thus the blurs. I will try again to freeze the motion with the 40D -- he can't be that fast! We are taking my 17-year old niece to their show next week --- maybe I'd better explain who they are to her first.

Show us your blurs! Come on, I know you have some! Visit here for the rules and to post your links in the comments.
