Thematic Photographic 48 --- Yellow

When I saw Carmi's Thematic Photographic topic this week was yellow I knew just what I was going to post.

One of my favorite things in the spring is watching the male Gold Finches change from this.......

..... to this! Aren't they just gorgeous! And are they ever hungry! These nijer socks are covered in finches all the time! They fly past the windows looking like rays of pure sunshine.

The constant activity at the bird feeders is so much fun to watch. Some of these guys seem to think they can eat all those seeds all by themselves!

So, if you have a favorite photo of something yellow, or maybe a yellowed photo of something favorite, post it and let us know about it in a comment over at Written, Inc. Thematic Photographic #48. Be sure to check out all the others' posts, too. Fun stuff!

I enjoy watching them turn into their breeding plumage, too. They winter here, too. But people don't realize it because they get so drab.

I hunted for a yellow warbler today - thinking I would present one for this theme -- heard them in the trees along the creek, saw them flittering away. But I couldn't get a shot.

These are beautiful! We have them on our feeders here but my pics are not as crisp. You are good!

What camera/setting do you usually use?

The Gold Finches have been visiting us for a while also. The males are all colored. Thanks for sharing your interests and images.
