Macro Monday

I haven't done a lot of photography this past week as I have been putting all my attention to making Christmas cards for my shop. I have photos of those on my other blog Made For Keeps. (Actually, I guess you could say those photos are macros since I took very close up shots to get the detail.)
A few days ago, after some very strong winds, the trees were stripped of all their leaves. The wind was so powerful I found oak leaves that had blown through the doggy door -- the oak trees are half an acre away! But I found one little hold out and not a single seed had yet let go! Recognize it? Of course, it's a dandelion! The day after I took these shots all the seeds had blown away to take root, possibly, acres away.

Show off your macros or close ups! Post them on your blog then add a link over at Lisa's Chaos. Be sure to visit all the other links for some terrific photos, like Jientje's mushroom macros.

I love how symmetrical they are. No one does it as well as Mother nature huh.
